Generic VISION Rollout Instruction** **Any emailed instructions different than these generic instructions take priority. 1. When you are done working, anytime after 5:00 PM the day of rollout, please sign out of TECS and Vision, including the Client Manager. 2. Look on your Windows Desktop and find an icon that is named "Vision Code Update" or "New Code Update". It should be somewhere near you "Vision" icon. If you cannot locate this icon call the Helpdesk at 1-800-251-8685 ext. 1 or 328-6061.3. Anytime after 5:00 PM the day of rollout, double click on the "Vision Code Update/New Code Update" icon. You will see a black window pop up and files scrolling up. This window will remain on your screen until the code rollout is complete. Once the code has all been copied the window will disappear. 4. The code migration will take anywhere from 5 minutes to 45 minutes depending on your location and the number of users running the update at that time. If you don't want to tie up your workstation during the day, we advise that you just leave your PC on over the weekend and double click on the "Vision Code Update" icon before you leave for the weekend. This will download the code over the weekend and you won't have to worry about how long it takes. 5. If you are not in the office on Friday, you can double click on the "Vision Code Update" icon on Monday morning or whenever you come in that following week. This will download the newest code to your PC. 6. If you have any questions or problems call the Helpdesk at 1-800-251-8685 ext. 1 or 328-6061.7. Generally, TECS and Vision will be up and available after 12 noon the day after rollout. |
