TIP: Viewing Multiple Absent Parent Ledgers--NEW
INFORMATION

Step by Step Instructions
1. In FACSES, choose option A and press ENTER.
2. Choose option A (to inquire by name) OR option B (to inquire by SSN) and
press ENTER. (Using option "B"/SSN will allow you to use the tip below regarding
viewing multiple absent parent ledgers).
3. Type in name OR SSN (depending on which search you chose) and press ENTER.
4. If you get a list, place an F in the blank beside the person you want to
view and press ENTER.
5. In the blank beside the file/case no., place an X and press ENTER.
6. At the top left of the screen beside the word NEXT, type "VIEW". This
is the fast path abbreviation that will take you directly to the View
Eligibility Worker Ledger. This view shows only amounts and dates--it does
NOT show who the amounts were paid to--go to step 7 to view details of each
transaction.
7. Type an 'X'
in the "SEL" column beside the transaction and press ENTER to see the
transaction's details, such as who the payment was made to (i.e. DHS or client),
how it was made (i.e. EFT vs. EPC), amount and date of the transaction.
8. For detailed instructions on interpreting the information in the ledger, see
the Eligibility Worker Ledger Manual by clicking the link below.

9. Some Ledgers can become complex. For further assistance
in interpreting details of a specific ledger, contact the FACSES help desk at
328-6063, 1-800-251-8685, or socshelp@nd.gov.

Suggestion for viewing EW Ledgers for cases with multiple absent parents/file
numbers:
1. Search
for your case by SSN rather than by name or client number.
2. From the SSN Inquiry screen (the one
that lists the cases/absent parents), select one of the cases and hit enter.
3. Enter "VIEW" in the NEXT field at the
top left corner of the screen and hit enter. This takes you to the VIEW screen
(EW Ledger screen).
4. Enter "SSIF" in the NEXT field at the
top left corner of the screen and hit enter. This takes you back to the list
of files.
