Lotus Notes Webmail

This method of viewing your Lotus Notes email is very handy if you are out of the office.  All you need is a computer with internet access.

Instructions for accessing email from the web.

First, we need to set the internet password. This needs to be done from your machine and will only need to be done once.

  1. Open up Lotus Notes.
  2. Open up the NoDak address book database.
  3. Click on Actions from the menu.
  4. Scroll down to Set Internet Password.
  5. Click on Set Internet Password,
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen, and enter the password you would like to use.
  7. Click OK to close out of the password screen.
  8. Close the Nodak address book.

Now that the password is set, you are ready to view your email from a web browser. To do this, follow these steps.*

  1. Open up a web browser.
  2. Type in the address  “webmail.state.nd.us” without the quotation marks.
  3. Click on the Lotus Notes icon.
  4. Type in your user name. This would be what is before the @ symbol in your email address.
  5. Type in your password and click OK.
  6. Enter them again and click OK.
  7. You should now see your email.

*These are also the steps you will use each time you want to view your Lotus Notes mail via the web.

Hint:  You can also view your Lotus Notes Calendar and folders through this option.
