FACSES PF KEYS

PF keys help workers navigate in FACSES. PF navigation keys are programmed to work with many, but not all, screens. Many times appropriate PF key functioning is listed on the screen itself. If not specifically listed on the screen, it is helpful to know that when PF keys are available for a screen, they are consistently used for certain functions. The PF keys and their purpose are as follows:

bullet

PF 1 to main menu - takes any updates you have made

bullet

PF 3, 5 or 7 scroll backward through a list of items

bullet

PF 4, 6 or 8 scroll forward through a list of items

NOTE: Screens on FACSES can have up to 3 scrollable areas. PF 3 and PF 4 will scroll the first area, PF 5 and PF 6 will scroll the second area and PF 7 and PF 8 will scroll the third area. If there is only one scrollable area you can use any of the forward and backward PF keys.

bullet

PF 9 to master menu - does not update

bullet

PF 10 to prior menu or screen - does not update

bullet

PF 11 exit help window without choosing an item

bullet

PF 12 exit FACSES - takes any updates you have made

Not all of the above PF keys work from each screen.
